The Solanki Family has been a household name in the clothing industry. The family's involvement dates back to 1912 when the Solanki family owned a tailor shop.
It is the very place that Mr Solanki grasped the skills of producing a superb and stunning suit from a piece of cloth. No doubt of the fact that the artistic skill of a professional and fine tailoring skill was passed down to him by the Solanki generation from his forefathers.
He went through this stage being cautious and efficient with the best that he could produce from his capabilities since his customers were at that time dignitaries, ministers, and diplomats.
He learned it the hard way but never regretted the way he was taught the trade which has put his name in the limelight of the industry.
It was not until 1974 when he was holding the reins of the then Narotam Company after his father passed away that he felt the immense responsibilities that accompanied his new role. By then he had polished his skills in producing the best garments that were sought after in the market. It was in 1978 when he started mass production on a very small scale catering for the local market. In 1982 he was given his biggest break in the garment industry after the SPARTECA was established. In the late 80s he co-founded Classic Apparel which started production on a much larger scale for the export market. His vision, courage, and determination is reflected when one takes a glance at the United Apparel complex in Nadawa.
